How it all started… “Dinners with a Cause” in Moscow

CoolCoz was created to meet the needs of a Moscow grassroots initiative "Dinners with a Cause".

In March 2009, Alexandra Olsufiev, a French lawyer, was heart-broken by the story of Olga, the mother of 4, sick with kidney cancer and no money to afford treatment. To help Olga raised the needed 250.000 rubles, Alexandra decided to organize weekly dinners at her flat.

Alexandra's dinner concept:     one dinner a week/10 Guests/1000 rubles (€25)

With the help of her large network of friends, Alexandra soon raised the money. Such success encouraged everybody to continue hosting dinners and parties and bring the idea at a new level.

CoolCoz

If a philanthropist-to-be wants to host an event, many questions rise:

"How do I invite people to my party beyond my friends and neighbors?"

"How can I show my guests that the money is used for the cause and not to pay for my vacations?"

And many people are willing to participate as guests to charity events but they want to:

- track their donations and trust the system handling them;

- see they're making a difference through their contribution;

- have fun along the way.

Therefore CoolCoz.com was created. This site aggregates information about charity events around the world.

CoolCoz is a community of generous people meeting off-line not only in front of their computer screens. It is also an event manager and a communication platform.  The system is FREE for both guests and hosts of the events.
