About this cause:

The Children’s Rehabilitation Centre is a non-governmental, charitable foundation under the patronage of Mrs. Polly van Studnitz (wife of the German ambassador to Russia from 1995 till 2002). The Head of the Board of Directors is Mrs. Maria von Moltke. The Director of the centre and the head doctor is Mr. G.N. Romanov.

The Centre was registered in 1989 to treat and rehabilitate invalid children with severe neurological pulmonary disorders and autism. The treatment is free of charge.

A carefully trained team of licensed medical doctors, neurologists, orthopaedists, reflex- and physiotherapists, as well as specialists in massage, acupuncture, speech therapy and homeopathic medicine offer comprehensive and intensive treatment. Each child is treated every day for 3-4 hours. The methodology of the children’s rehabilitation combines elements of Western and Chinese medicine. Daily treatment consists of massage, acupuncture, breath gymnastics, static and dynamic exercises. Psycho-social rehabilitation and orthopaedic correction are also carried out.

The aim of the Centre is to make each child as independent as possible: to make each patient sit, walk and provide for himself/herself. Hundreds of disabled children have been treated over the years at the Centre.

The sponsorship of the Fund consists of public and private organizations, companies, as well as private individuals in Russia, Germany, Switzerland, USA and England. Thanks to generous donations, the Centre is furnished with state of the art equipment, including an orthopaedic workshop.

Центр был создан в 1989 для лечения детей- инвалидов с тяжелыми

Неврологическими заболеваниями легких и аутизмом. Лечение в нем абсолютно бесплатно.

Персонал центра- это врачи высокой квалификации, невррологи, ортопеды, рефлексо- и физиотерапевты, специалисты по массажу, акупунтуре, исправлению речи, гомеопаты, - обеспечивают полноценное и высокоэффективное лечение для каждого пациента. Дети проходят различные процедуры каждые 3-4 часа. Методолгоия реабилитации детей совмещает элементы Западной и Китайской медицины. Ежеднвный уход и лечение состоит из массажа, акапунктуры, дыхательной гимнастики, статьчных и динамичных упражнений. Реабилитация также включает курс психосоциальной и ортопедической помощи.

Цель Центра- дать полную свободу каждому маленькому пациенту: дети могут сидеть, гулять в любое время и обеспечивать себя сами. За время существования Центра сотни детей с ограниченными возможностями прошли полноценный курс лечения.

Спонсорами Фонда являются различные общественные и частные организации, компании, а также частные лица из России, Германии, Швейцарии, США, Великобритании. Благодаря щедрым пожертвованиям, Центр оснащен лучшим медицинским оборудованием, включая уникальный ортопедический кабинет. Фонд проходит ежегодный аудит известных финансовых компаний.
