There are more than 700,000 orphans in Russia and only about 15% of those children leaving orphanages have a chance to lead a normal life. The rest become alcoholics, prostitutes, criminals or die. These children are our future and with the right guidance, they can go down the right path and create positive influence far beyond their own lives.

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) is to help disadvantaged children ("Little") reach their full potential through professionally supported mentoring relationships with adult volunteers ("Big"). These friendship matches are carefully selected and monitored. Our goal at BBBS is for children around the world to realize their potential, creating a better future for themselves, their countries, and the global community.

BBBS is the oldest and most effective youth mentoring program in the world, helping over 280,000 kids globally. BBBS has been present in Russia for fifteen years. In 2009, approximately 550 Russian children participated in the BBBS program, of which 119 of those were in Moscow.

В России насчитывается более 700 000 детей-сирот, и лишь 15%детей, покидающих приюты, имеют шанс вести нормальную жизнь. Остальные становятся алкоголиками, проститутками, уголовниками, или умирают. Эти дети- наше будущее, и при правильном воспитании, они могут выбрать правильный путь во взрослой жизни и сделать много хороших вещей в жизни, оставить след после себя.

Миссия фонда Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS)- помочь детям с ограниченными возможностями ("Little") найти себя в жизни путем общения, а также организации различного рода мастер-классов, кружков со взрослыми волонтерами ("Big"). Наша цель в BBBS – помочь детям во всем мире осознать свой потенциал, открывая дверь в их лучшее будущее, их страны и всего междунарожного сообщества.

BBBS- это старейшая и наиболее эффективная организация в мире, которая помогает более 280 000 детей в различных странах. В Росси BBBS существует на протяжении последних 15 лет. В 2009 году более 550 русских детей стали участниками программ BBBS program, 119 которых прошли в Москве.
