Our Principles

CHARTER

The present Charter aims to promote and protect the spirit and values of CoolCoz Events.

For the purpose of the present Charter, the following terms shall have the meaning set forth below:

  • Cause: a charity, philanthropic or social project approved by a Nonprofit or by the Foundation
  • Donation: amount paid by a Guest to attend the Event;
  • Event: a fundraising event published on CoolCoz.com;
  • Foundation: Generositas Foundation,  non-for-profit foundation established under Belgian law and associated with CoolCoz.com;
  • Guest: the participant to the Event authorized by the Host;
  • Host: the organizer of an Event.
  • Manager Cause: the Foundation or a Nonprofit managing the Cause on CoolCoz.com
  • Nonprofit: non-for-profit non-governmental-organizations or public entities registered as organizations on CoolCoz.com

CoolCoz and Generositas Foundation believe in shared generosity, friendship and fun.

 THEREFORE

  • 1. The Host shall:
    • 1.1 Make the most of his skills and budget to create a successful Event.
    • 1.2 Try, as much as possible, to meet Guests specific requests. Guests shall inform the Host about their specific requests at least 24h before the Event.

Specific requests can be linked to religious constraints, lifestyle choices, health or handicap issues.

  • 1.3 Encourage dialogue and tolerance among Guests.
  • 1.4 Provide information about the Cause to the Guests before, during and after the Event. If the Guests have additional questions about the Cause, do his best to answer these questions.
  • 1.5 If possible, not modify the amount of the Donation less than 48h before the Event.

In case of modification (more than 48h before the Event), the Host shall personally inform the Guests who have registered before the modification.

  • 1.6 The Host shall within 48 hours publish on CoolCoz.com the total amount of donations raised during the Event.
  • 1.7 The Host shall within 5 working days transfer the raised donations to the Manager of the Cause.

Host and the Manager of the Cause shall agree prior to the Event on the donations transfer procedure..

The transferred amount should be 100% of the raised amount unless it was previously agreed with the Manager of the Cause that the Host is allowed to keep a percentage of the raised funds to cover the costs of organizing the Event.

  • 2. The Guest shall:
    • 2.1 Be on time for the Event or inform the Host as soon as possible and by all means of his lateness or absence.

In case of unjustified cancellation less than 24h before the Event, the Guest loses his right to refund. If the Donation was not yet paid, the Guest shall owe the amount of the Donation to the Host or alternatively to the Manager of the Cause.

  • 2.2 Pay the Donation for the Event.
  • 2.3 Not come accompanied by a person who is not a Guest and was not authorized to attend the Event by the Host.
  • 2.4 Be tolerant toward other Guests and respect to the Host and his Cause.
  • 2.5 Use only the space made available for the Event by the Host.
  • 2.6 Do not smoke unless explicitly authorized by the Host and by the laws.
  • 2.7 Avoid any behavior that would embarrass the Host or the other Guests.

 

In case of non-compliance with the clauses of the present Charter, the Foundation and CoolCoz reserve the right to take action against the offender.

Only the Foundation Board of Directors has the power to modify the present Charter.
